چکیده
Abstract The physics governing the collisional transport of impurities in tokamak plasmas can change significantly depending on four main parameters, namely collisionality, impurity charge and mass, trapped particle fraction, which vary widely from core to edge a fusion device. We present an analytical model for with consistent dependence broad scans these showing good agreement drift-kinetic code NEO. Radial profiles fluxes are calculated different species using ASDEX Upgrade experimental as well ITER simulated profiles, they also compared This is suited fast integrated modelling applications due its low computational cost.

متن کاملPfc/ja-82-25 on Impurity Transport in Tokamaks
We study theoretically the effects of diffusion, convection, and sawteeth on impurity profile evolution in tokamaks. Sawtooth effects are modeled after our' experimental observations that internal disruptions flatten radial profiles of impurity densities in the Alcator-C plasma core. We present numerical simulations and analytic results for confinement times and profile shapes, and we predict t...
متن کاملUW-CPTC 13-4 Collisional effects in low collisionality plasmas
The effects of collisions are often neglected in theoretical analyses of low collisionality plasmas where the collision rate ν is smaller than the frequency of waves or other physical processes being considered. However, small angle Coulomb collisions scatter the velocity vector v of charged particles and produce slightly probabilistic rather than fully deterministic charged particle trajectori...
متن کاملA self-consistent analytical model for non-collisional heating
Non-collisional heating is an important phenomenon in low-pressure inductively coupled plasmas. In this paper, a self-consistent analytical model for non-collisional heating is developed which shows that non-collisional heating is a warm-electron effect that relies on a resonant interaction of electrons with the electromagnetic wave. Electrons with velocities comparable to the effective wave ph...
متن کاملTH/P8-8 Influence of RF Fields on Anomalous Impurity Transport in Tokamaks
Trace impurity transport in tokamaks is studied using an electrostatic, collisionless fluid model for Ion-Temperature-Gradient (ITG) and Trapped-Electron (TE) mode driven turbulence in the presence of radio frequency (rf) fields in the ion cyclotron range of frequencies, and the results are compared with neoclassical predictions. Two separate effects of the rf field on ITG/TE-mode stability and...
